Romania says a Russian drone has breached its airspace - the second Nato country to report such an incursion.
Romanian fighter jets were in the air monitoring a Russian attack in Ukraine on Saturday and were able to track the drone near Ukraine’s southern border, the defence ministry said in a statement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the incursion could not be a mistake - it was “an obvious expansion of the war by Russia”. Moscow has not commented on the Romanian claims.
Yeah that’s their only smart choice. Russia may be fucking up big but in a war of attrition Ukraine will lose sooner or later.
Yeah it’s rational (though i don’t believe Ukraine was the smol bean at any point, in 2022 they had second biggest army in Europe and were pumped with absolutely ridiculous amount of arms and money by west, and so Russia is not especially fucking up) but there are two points. First is how many people here and elswhere are completely dismissing the possiblity Ukraine is even doing it, while it does come as obvious to even such idiot like Duda. Second is that it is not a very good form that a country is openly lying and is trying to pull in a war countries that are its supporters and do not want to be included in open warfare, not to mention it can easily end up in nuclear exchange.
Russia is still a bigger military, Europe didn’t pick a fight with them. Russia is definitely fucking up as usual and just throwing men and equipment at it with no particular logic involved.
They’re already involved in a way they just haven’t accepted it. No country wants to get involved but I’m sorry eventually they have to.
