Newsmax made almost 50 million in revenue just in the second quarter of 2025. You can almost guarantee they made far more money profiting off their lies, than they’re about to lose. This is good business for them. These lawsuits need to start being in the billions and not in the millions.
This won’t stop as long as it’s just a price of doing business.
Throw a CEO and hosts in jail for a decade tho, and it’ll suddenly be less common for the media to blatantly lie about shit.
Defamation is a civil issue so you can’t be jailed for it, I believe.
