California’s governor is being touted as a successor to the Biden throne. Though he’s often imagined as a beacon of progress, his feckless record shows otherwise.
Then we’re fucked. Start looking at parties and organizations that are doing something to help out, instead of simping for a party that is actively supporting the fascists.
So to use another analogy, I’d rather “tread water” (vote for the lesser of two evils) in this river of raw sewage we’re stuck in, rather than “drown” in it (let greater evil win by voting against the lesser evil).
At least while treading water, we can still try to find someone who is doing something to help out.
For fuck’s sake, I’m not “simping for Newsom,” I’m just aware that he’s better than trump. At least we can see the horizon with him.
If Newsome was “treading water”, I’d be fine with him. But he’s not. He’s attacking destroying the lives of homeless people. Throwing Trans people to the wolves. He’s not “Lesser Neutral”, he’s “Lesser Evil”.
How are we going to find something to help out with the Democrats actively fighting against us?
