Hey! So i believe we all drive on the highway. Do you all watch for other cars around you as signals. I don’t see many people noticing me but I am normally either going 30-40+ over the speed limit or slowing down with hazards rapidly on and off. Though no one seems to follow my warning signals. Why is this?
The reason for the warning signs. I am the lead car for example. I drive 95-100 mph or more safely. 100% visual input and .03 reaction times. I slow down to let others watch lanes when coming up on them. And keep a constant maximum pace. If you can follow me. You’ll be safe.
Though we have construction sites near mid downtown and 3/4ths to Home city. North of downtown. Straight. There is speed traps and cops sitting. 45 mph construction site. I first slow down rapidly flashing hazards pointing out speed traps. Then switching lanes and continuing 45 mph.
Though now one follows my example. As a professional racer I thought this would be more common knowledge. We drive fast and aggressively smooth but slow for the workers who build our roads.
While warning our fellow drivers of speed traps.
