Assassin’s Creed died after the 2nd game.

They fired the creator and decided to milk it to oblivion.

I’m just letting you know so you don’t look like a poser in front of more experienced gamers.

I liked it until the end of the Ezio trilogy, though Brotherhood and Revelations felt basically like extra-large DLCs on top of 2, in terms of how they fit in narratively.

But uhh, wtf is up with that bs gatekeeping? The series has obviously changed direction completely since killing off Desmond and undermining the point of its originally-planned story arc, but that doesn’t mean other people can’t like it for different reasons, if they want to.

Yeah that’s capitalism. Can’t have anything popular and legitimately creative without it becoming commodified. I still appreciate the renderings of historical sites, and the parkour aspects of the game. I’m pretty “experienced” in that I’ve been playing since Sega Master System. I’m too old to care if someone thinks I’m a “poser”.

I’ve been replaying Unity recently, and that one imo deserves some kind of sequel or something. The co-op missions and customization with all the different weapons and armor pieces was too good, I think. I’m glad that the servers are still running for them, and that they work even with mods.
