I have no diagnosis, but for me this is “oh I have a point I want to make about this, but it is rude to interrupt so wait until the speaker is done speaking.” Then my mind wanders a bit while I was waiting. Then I completely forget what I was going to say.

Or during their part, they keep talking to the point they change the subject a little and now my brain has to scrap everything and build something new when they suddenly stop after making a new point.

I had a boss who would say “spit it out” like I was trying to choose my words carefully rather than trying to snatch the words as they fled, made it so frustrating to talk to him

My ex stepdad did that shit. And both him and mom would call me a “lump” if I wasn’t active enough for them. Ones dead and the other is dead to me.

I have been very lucky at times because I got to work with people who got the point I was trying to make through my ramblings, especially during the start of my career.

Of course there have been many occasions where people had little patience, and it drove me to make my points simpler and direct.
