Have you looked at Klipper to tune out the high speed Issues?

Looking to build on a budget right now. Basically I would dismantle my belt printer to build this and it’s a core xy so I have all the parts including the hot end. I hear you on the core xy, it has its disadvantages, but it makes a clean, easy to make machine. What’s not clean is the Z axis and I agree with you on the screws. I would love a cleaner simpler way of doing z, thats why I am entertaining the idea of a core XZ belt slinger. It does split all the motion up nicely.

I design my own printers and like the challenge. Vorons are expensive and have a ton of parts. I like unique stuff. Ive made my own delta printer and conveyor belt printer. The limitations of those leave me wanting a more traditional style.

Any plans to add belt printer support?

When I ran ABS I used acetone and a scrap piece to make a glue that worked flawlessly on glass.

Can’t say you own any 3d cad software anymore anyway since they all went to subscription only about 10 years ago.

I like their pricing scheme though, because most makers work on open source.

2 shouldn’t have a problem with oozing or cooking since the second filament is not in the hot area.

Let’s say everyone in the world has a smartphone and charges it 100% every day. Let’s say that it’s 4000 mah battery so they waste 2000 mah. This is very very generous. That’s 7.4 wh per person per day X 8b people X 365 days a year = 2.1x10^13 wh. In 2022 we used 1.7x10^17. Or 0.01% Like I said, statistical dust.

That’s a cool way of doing it, but it seems like it would be difficult to align. In my case, I am thinking of doing a belt style printer, so that may be even more difficult to engineer.

None of that applies to option 2 or 3 though.

Y splitter is something that goes in the middle of the Bowden tube to allow two extruders. Its similar to #2 but allows you to use any hot end.

Most teslas i see are still 30-40k and there really aren’t any other brands besides compliance cars at that age.
