Now, can capitalism serve both purposes? Of course. Technological improvements developed by capitalism can (and must) improve environmental and resource impacts of population needs. Does it currently? Not nearly enough. How to direct capitalism to become a better steward for the planet and its resources is a separate topic and discussion. If we haven’t already, all foreign assets of Putin and all Russian leadership and oligarchs need to be seized immediately. Unless the pain is felt by those with power nothing will change.

There are also a number of Western companies still operating in Russia. That needs to change.

Key concept: ignore allegations and only follow convictions. Then you’ll see most accusations are bullshit/projection from those committing the crimes. Hint: nearly all true convictions/guilty pleas are from the R side.
