Yes, let’s ask the German government to make Stasi records spying on the private lives of citizens open and public, because it would help strangers win arguments on the internet.
You are not a very serious person, are you?

Yes sure let me just get an eight hour train to Berlin to work on your assignments, random person on the internet.
You do know that the USSR signed a trade deal with Nazi Germany even in 1940, right? When the rest of the world was already blockading Nazi Germany for… being Nazi’s. In fact, in 1940 the Soviet Union delivered about 75% of Nazi Germany’s imports, mostly in oil & steel. Stalin could’ve joined that blockade, and not supplied the necessary materials for the Nazi war machine – but he didn’t.
You can acknowledge that, and still acknowledge the USSR took the brunt of the force fighting the Nazi’s. It’s not a sports game, you don’t have to pick sides.

Mate it’s right there.
Find me an old person anywhere that isn’t nostalgic for their youth.
Please tell me how supportive Lenin was of the Workers’ Soviets as soon as the revolution got calmer.
Intelligence is inherited, but evenly distributed over the population/across (so called) ethnic groups You’re skimming over a wikipedia article, but the guy you’re replying to isn’t off the mark.
Easy to say to starving children. (Which is what happened in op’s article)
It’s telling that nowhere in this thread there’s mention of the US demolishing it’s relationship with its most important ally, Europe.
The US is a lost cause, nationally and globally. It might save it’s state, but repairing a (already wobbly) international reputation will take decades.
Here you have comment, from this thread, of someone saying there’s basically no problems: https://lemmy.ml/comment/16144139
Denial of racism and abuse by the Chinese state is rampant here on Lemmy, don’t pretend otherwise.
Oh and please don’t assume my narrative. I hate the US more.
Calles ‘empire in decay’ hahaha
Serbia is not former Warsaw pact.
A fabrication? Did you even read that pdf? I quote:
Serious human rights violations have been committed in XUAR in the context of the Government’s application of counter-terrorism and counter-“extremism” strategies. The implementation of these strategies, and associated policies in XUAR has led to interlocking patterns of severe and undue restrictions on a wide range of human rights. These patterns of restrictions are characterized by a discriminatory component, as the underlying acts often directly or indirectly affect Uyghur and other predominantly Muslim communities.
A conspiracy theory popular amongst delusional Marxists-Leninists, and that’s an important difference.
Still it’s funny to see these (often) so called anti colonial thinkers struggle with the idea of self determination of other nations. Nothing can happen without American involvement, obvs.
On behalf of my Uyghur friends who haven’t spoken to their parents in years, because they were imprisoned for their children emigrating: fuck you. A really deep, heartfelt fuck you.
Afghanistan did not arise as a result from colonial powers. That’s false and completely ignores the self determination of Afghans.
Also, the stuff you’re saying about how the country was just a simple, tribal place is actually very hurtful. Borderline racist.
1995 actually
