This is (sadly) such an important statement in our modern world.

This sounds like the handbook to CIA infiltration and subversion! Bet yes, this would help build a better work culture at this particular workspace.
Maybe I am completely misunderstanding, but wouldn’t Marianne be the main character representing France?
That actually seems very sensible. I was thinking about it from the standpoint of me and my own name, and not like OP needs for a child. For a child a standard name might be a better option so that it does not incure bullying etc. and the child can always choose to change their name, based on their own preferences, when they are older.
I suspect this might be part of the reason why it is catching on. Its harder to prosecute someone for doing this than say spraypainting the statue, as the statue is in no way damaged by the act.
And wasn’t there already some kind of security certificate issue with secure boot? It is like always, in the name of security and safety the free software/hardware gets locked away and ends up being less secure afterwards.
This, lets not forget that there used to be poor aristocrats. The amount of assets you have does not necessarily define your class, but rather how you are forced to spend your life time.
… sorry …
I hate you dear sir, but take my upvote for this great comment.
They have always been anti-immigrant. Gor the longest time they simply tolerated it, but no more.
As for the the statue of liberty, a, it was built by the French not Americans, b, I can also happily say that I pride myself on being a great person, while in truth being a terrible peraon.
I would also contribute that it depends on the formation of your own eye socket. A lot of Asian people have eyes that are less recessed into the eye socket which makes monocles virtually impossible to wear.
If you already say in advance that you cannot accept the mainland Chinese political system and it’s set of rules, then I can hardly suggest to go there. If you start disagreeing with others publically and become a problem person you will end up in jail rather quickly. Whether you believe that to be rightful/proper justice or not, will not matter.
Even if it isn’t a designed honeypot, it sounds like OP will land themselves in jail either way.
Just my personal opinion, but your name should be something you feel happy with and should not depend on whether it will be easily pronouncable by others. Different names will be vastly more easy/more difficult to pronounce in different places if the child ever moves to a foreign country, so this is kind of unpredictable to begin with.
And also what instance the original post is on that you would like to comment to. Could this maybe be some kind of one-sided federation issue? Where posts get federated to your home instance, but replies grom your home instance are not being accepted by OP’s instance?
Although it would probably be fitting to describe it as a subset. If you look at vision, then it is a spectrum that includes everyone. Even blind people. If you are looking at blindness, then it is a subset of the vision spectrum that only includes people that meet certain other criteria, i.e. below a certain threshold of vision. Same for autism disorder. Every human is on a mentality spectrum, and autism is a subset of that.
cheap for a human to complete but expensive for a computer to beat
This is the reason and logic. There are no advanced algorithms deciding your “humanness.”
Oh, I did not realize that it worked this way. I always figured the reply object would have to first be created on the post’s original server (simply listing the reply creator as being from a foreign server) and then federated outwards from the post’s original sever again. I did not realize that replies could be directly created on foreign servers, as from the viewpoint of the original post server.
