I don’t quite agree with your assessment. There are not a whole lot of mechanisms in the constitution for “the people” do more than vote every couple of years or violently opposed the elected government. Look at fetterman and sinema. Both turn from what seemed to be progressive candidates to the main reason several legislative things fell through. I’m sure several people wish they could do something more immediate than wait until their term is up.
It doesn’t work when you don’t have a defined mechanism to enforce the balance after the check. These historical documents were written when your word meant something. Like they said above it works when people are doing things in good faith.

Well, anything digital comes to mind. Cutting undersea communication cables is another. But you can generally look in the direction of Russia for most of it. In the US they have corrupted an entire political party with out drawing any “front lines”
Those are real 20th century metrics for a war.

I live in central Florida and I’ve been out protesting quite a bit, a couple political events for democratic candidates, and volunteer for poll duty during elections. One of the least represented demographic in all of these places is young women. There are plenty of retiree women. I’ve even been to a couple women’s rights group meetings and there were more men there than women under 40.
I understand it’s going to take all of us to make any meaningful changes, but I am constantly surprised that one of the most impacted groups doesn’t seem to be too concerned to participate in the civil unrest part. Even the women I talk to in other social settings don’t seem too concerned or feel the need to do anything to halt the real life Handmaid’s Tale we’re about to find ourselves in.
This isn’t even conservatism. It’s regressive. They aren’t conserving anything, just trying to take everyone back to robber barons and Nazis.
If only there was a name for a group of employees getting together to ask management for some collective bargaining or something.

Behind the Bastards does a great podcast about that. Called “How Conservatism Won”.
It was an incredibly interesting piece about how Think Tanks are behind the shit show you see before us today. A literal playbook shadow written by a future supreme court justice nominated by Tricky Dick Nixon. It was well worth a listen much like most of BtB stuff is.
