Haha well see, I don’t doxx myself on social media like here and for better or worse the music is in my real name as I couldn’t think of a cool “artist” name and it’s pretty unique that if you Google my name I’m the first few results and the app is now dead because the social media site it was for is now gone. I was ready to pull the app anyway as it was one of those new reddit alternatives that started positively but ended up being a racist shithole after a fairly short period of time and I wanted nothing to do with it. It was similar to apps like sync or appolo but more basic and didn’t rely on their API too much as at that point I was still learning a lot if it as I went
For real, during covid lockdown I had an idea for a phone app, spent a month and a half learning android studio, github, how to copy - paste from stackoverflow, following tutorials and how to publish to fdroid and Google play. Was quite proud of both having an app on the store and also just getting something working in the first place.
Then I wanted to add music to it so decided I was going to learn making music, about 3 weeks later I had added my own music to it after learning to use ableton and fruity loops and then created another 6 songs and got them on Spotify after another month.
Then I thought I needed a music video for my favorite one and learned after effects and Vegas Pro over 2 months and posted a music video to YouTube and vimeo.
I swear I don’t know if it’s Adhd or if having the rare once in a lifetime freedom of capitalism grinding to a halt with no work or general rat race bogging down the brain but I think lots of people found they had more skill and potential than they realised during lockdown
