Imo it’s bc it’s the new kid on the block. Yes it’s 10 years old but barely becoming common use in production and government mandates are only speeding that up. In actuality it’s a great language and has been hyped for a few years by people who actually use it. Python went through the same thing in the 2010s where devs really tried clowning on it, now it’s used everywhere.

  • Not sure entirely where this fits into this conversation, but one thing I’ve found really interesting that’s discussed in this Convo w Dr. K (I don’t have a timestamp sorry). Tai Chi has much more significant affect on all health perspectives than typical Western running/jogging/yoga etc.

And research papers can note this, but as soon as researchers start attempting to dig into the actual mechanical process behind why it has such a significant affect, their papers will be rejected because it dips too far into Woo/Spiritual territory despite not describing what the woo is, just acknowledging that “something” is there happening.

I think it’s interesting we can measure results and attempt to explain what we’re seeing but western research tends to be so tied to physical mechanisms it has almost started hindering our advancement.

  • The “hospital bombing” Was a Hamas rocket

This was independently verified as an IDF rocket from multiple sources. Also what about the other 7 hospitals bombed?

Yeah a military will kill their enemies when there’s a war.

Snipers are executing children with bullets to the head. Men are released blindfolded to run and be executed via bullet. This is not what many would be considered, “normal war killing”

There is humanitarian aid going in. There is a border between Egypt and Gaza, it’s mostly just Egypt is being weird causing problems.

Not only is the IDF stopping aid into Gaza as are Israel citizens.

A lot of the humanitarian problems are because there are so many people in Rafah, a place that doesn’t have the infrastructure to handle that many people

Interesting that Israel specifically chose this as a place to evacuate civilians to, and despite that still decided to do both a bombing and ground invasion.

what’s left of their homes to the north

There is nothing left. The IDFs entire plan was the destruction of civilian infrastructure and we’re already seeing Israeli settlers moving into these western locations.

  • I can sit here and spin the exact same question about reducing global exploitation.

Reducing global exploitation would implies self sustainability and with the west, particularly the US, they never reach self sustainability with their current economic model of giving 95% of their production/wealth to the top 1% while a very large portion of its population is struggling economically/mentally/physically.

It’s a stepping stone in the problem of global exploitation, but it can’t happen overnight nor independently.

It is unreasonable to assume a model outside of this will be attainabille within the next two centuries.

Instead let’s focus on drawing back the exploitation within our own country this century then we can shift our perspective. We will never stop exploiting the poorest countries if we’re still exploiting our poorest citizens.
