Also if Russia joins the EU, the EU would be 2/3 Russia in terms of land mass and a quarter of the EU population would be a Russian citizen. Not sure if that is a good idea. Would give this one country way too much leverage and power inside the EU, especially once the Russian GDP per capita matches Germany or Netherlands. Like we already see how much power Germany has in the EU.

There is no united front among the working class in the west. It’s because working class people who earn a middle income have been brainwashed to think they are “middle class” and thus think they are a separate group from the lower income workers. The ffmpeg team was mad at Google when they reported a bug that was found and reported automatically with an AI. Google reported the bug without providing a fix and also gave an ultimatum. Google would publicize the bug report after 60 days. That’s what pissed off the ffmpeg devs. Not to mention that it was a very obscure bug, like ffmpeg didn’t decode a video file from a 90’s videogame correctly.

Anthropic on the other hand found a bug and provided a fix. So why would they be mad if the fix is properly written and fixes the bug ?

Yeah they degrade. Tech has improved a lot and they don’t degrade as fast as screens from the 2000’s but they still degrade. OLED more so than LCD. But if they degrade gradually and evenly you won’t really notice.

Even if you have a high nits screen that laptop is gonna run hot in direct sunlight. Screens don’t exactly like that. Especially something like an OLED. It will degrade the screen faster.

As you see in the comments here lots of people have no idea what marketing is beyond promotion. Unfortunately it’s often engineers who are the clueless ones and just think that you just need to build a great product and the sales will come automatically. When businesses started by engineers often fail because they make something that has no product market fit because they skipped the crucial steps of marketing. Engineers often look down on MBAs and think an MBA is useless but in my opinion every engineer should take a business and marketing course.

Marketing is more than just advertising and promoting though. Marketing is an integral part of a business. If you research what your target audience likes, that’s marketing. Researching where you should sell your products, marketing. Focus group testing, marketing. What price you should sell, marketing. Even if a business doesn’t have a marketing department they still engage in marketing.
