He has a stutter that he has to overcome. Old age and his sickness that day (as well as being probably the most stressful day of his life) made it difficult to overcome, not to mention him spiraling after the debate went sideways immediately. All of that is reality.

Now, his old age means a mentality decline, absolutely. Pretending it was 100% mental decline is just as false as saying he has had no mental decline at all. We will never know how much each piece contributed to what we saw.

So show some grace and don’t assume you know all the answers.

You get a skull or cross tattoo in the military that turns out to be a nazi symbol, that actually seems pretty plausible. But also, if people took the lesser evil, we wouldn’t be stuck with Trump.

I just googled it after the last one. Honestly though, I saw a lot less coverage on this one. I’m surprised that it was bigger.

Honestly, just looking at the voting results in red area of my red state. Yes, 65% for Trump is a landslide, but that still means a third of my neighbors actively voted against him and all of the Republican cronies on the ballot.

But just looking around, you would never know it.

Having said that, going to the last two No Kings protests and seeing them in person was heartwarming.

I want America to prosper and I want to protect American values from right-wing radicals that are in charge. I’m very passionate about it. In fact, I live in a red state and I want it to just be better and no longer radicalized by lies and hate.

I very passionately want America to heal from this illness of hate and apathy.

If that makes me a bad person, then fuck me I guess.

That’s because people confuse nationalism with patriotism. I love my country, which is why I want it to be better. Others love their country because it gives them permission to be worse.

To be clear, it’s still not good. I support any kid that wants to sit out for the pledge or sit or kneel for the national anthem. It should always be non-obligatory. In fact, I don’t love the word “allegiance” to begin with.

But it would be significantly worse if the pledge of allegiance was to Donal Trump. Ultimately, that’s what many people are following, but it’s not default in schools to pledge allegiance to him or anything.

Okay, but tbf, pledging allegiance to the flag/country is much better than to the self alleged dictator.

It depends, if you’re left of the candidates, I’d argue that the umbrella still includes you.

If you’re agreeing with right-wing extremist positions, the umbrella doesn’t include (like Fetterman).

Are there other assholes like him? I know there’s other assholes. But at this point, he’s basically a DINO (a term I don’t use loosely). The only thing making him kind of Democratic is that he’s not tied to the GOP coalition.

A white guy was filmed getting executed because they shouted random orders at him, and then his pants fell down. It didn’t draw attention. Then multiple black people were killed, each getting national recognition leading to BLM. A white man cracked his head open by cops, again getting attention. A couple white people now (Renee Good is not being ignored by normal people) are on film getting executed now and it’s breaking through.

Sometimes it takes a video to break through. Sometimes it doesn’t. And sometimes it doesn’t break through at all. It’s unfortunate. But it’s not always black and white. Hell, Rosa Parks wasn’t the original bus incident. It’s not always black and white. But it can definitely play into it.

I just wish people could be decent.

The fact that he has to defend his allegations of what was done out in the open is so fucked. Not a single person questioning him is genuinely unaware of this.

He has done it so much and gotten away with it, it’s been normalized.

January 6th (aka, the insurrection) should have been a wake up call for everyone. A lot of people don’t care about their country or God or whatever else they claim. Many just care about community.
