“Just want a nice normal looking guy like Henry fucking Cavill” lmao. I have no skin in the game being happily married, but hitting the gym/doing sports is still good for you regardless.

Damn that’s a pricy toy! Anything more entry level but still good? I think I might be down for a manual one with a torch.
Lemmy is the only app I use because I want to. Others I gave to use for work etc.
I can’t find “DHV”, I guess that’s an old model? What would you recommend for something modern that “just works”?
Yes 3D modelling like in blender can be quite precise but it’s a completely different mindset than CAD, much more about taking basic shapes and sculpting into what you want. Of course then there’s the whole animating/shading/lighting and so on which don’t exist in CAD at all.
We’re definitely in the best times for autodidacts like myself, I’ve hated school but always loved learning and I don’t need anyone to keep doing it every day. I’ll keep learning stuff till the day I die!
I go raw, I trust my instance to defederate from the worst of it, but otherwise I don’t block people, communities or anything. I also browse by all and while I subscribe to communities it’s more for the future or something, because for now there’s just not enough content to curate my feed really.
It’s all good though because I switched to other sources for my specialist content (mainly YouTube) and Lemmy is just there for my obsessive scrolling.
And then you get pitted (so pitted).
That’s right I guess, but at least in a beignet there’s a bit of preparation involved, I was picturing just whole fried apples or maybe like french fries but made of apple, but you’re right I guess beignet counts.
Fried apples? Maybe that’s a Texas thing, or Scottish, but it wouldn’t be a source of confusion in France because they’d take your passport away if you tried frying an apple.
For that you need a FWA3DP, a friend with a 3D printer. Mine prints me parts every few months when I randomly need something.
When they’re making a movie and someone suggests this, they get shut down because it’s not believable.
Standard issue cat, mine looks so similar I thought it was her for a second. I always love to tell people about the M on their forehead which they all have.
I’m guessing you’re French based on your instance. I had a friend many moons ago that worked at a processing plant where they packaged the William Saurin stuff (cassoulet, etc). At some point during the batch process once they reached the quota for the branded batch, they literally just switched the label roll to the Lidl ones and kept going with the exact same food.
Of course there’s no way to really know which products are like this and which are made with nasty cheap ingredients.
I definitely feel like there’s a correlation between jobs being entry level and being customer facing. Also in many jobs of any level you still have “customer management” even if that customer can take different shapes than the usual retail crowd, but that’s not always a good thing.
Whoever is doing this is probably pretty passionate, I don’t think they start you off doing these kinds of buildings as a rookie.
Helaas pindakaas…
Fucking hell I wasn’t prepared for the existential questions when I entered this thread.
Nederlander?
Own as in with a mortgage or own outright? Different things…
