Would be so fuckin funny if one of those gets shot down. Pretty sure they cost like a billion dollars each.
Just checked, it’s actually $2 billion each

Obviously I do not want to detract from the horror being inflicted on the Palestinian people but part of that horror is the destruction of their olive orchards. Those things take DECADES to mature to the point of producing. Every time they kill an olive tree they are wiping out decades of Palestinian labor caring for and tending to these orchards.
They are so fuckin huge dude.
They have one of the largest wingspans of any bird. Like their wingspan is ~9.5 feet.
Yeah check out my comment on the Santa Cruz salamander.
See my other comment about California condors. I actually got to be part of their rehabilitation efforts and thanks to the university I worked with we got them from about 27 total known individuals left to over 170 last data I can find.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Cruz_long-toed_salamander
So rare I don’t even know if they still exist.
I did some field biology work back in the mid 2000s and this is the only reason I know this.
There is also the California Condor and a species of kangaroo rat in the Mojave. The former is less rare now due to an immense amount of work we did to save the species to the point where they actually got removed from the endangered list at one point.
Look at this little guy though
As for the Condors:
The condor population (wild and captive) has steadily increased, reaching over 460 in 2017 (with 170 wild condors in California). For the most current update check out the Condor Population Status Summary (PDF)
Back when I was doing field work they were down to only 27 and all had been moved to captivity.
The situation with the salamander is much more dire
Its limited range and fragile specialized habitat place severe restrictions to the viability of this species. There is no definitive population estimate for the Santa Cruz long-toed salamander, but the numbers are deemed to be quite small. Further disturbance of its limited habitat could lead to this species’ extinction.
Probably my hatchet, first aid kit, and a duffel bag I keep packed with all weather gear and a small tent as well as my headlamp, survival knife, and half a dozen MREs
I’m not even a “collapse is imminent” prepper kinda guy but it’s better to be safe than sorry, you never know.
Is this a glib joke about the pager attack because if so not fuckin cool man.
I got to see it opening weekend with my mom and stepdad who took me to see it because I wasn’t 13 yet but was absolutely obsessed with dinosaurs to a more academic extent than your average 9 year old even has any business being. The box office had a giant hand sculpted pterodactyl in a nest on top of it which was one of the coolest things ever.
You should also definitely read the books, there is a much stronger emphasis on how capitalism makes everything shittier and endangers workers and compromises scientific integrity, which makes it especially shameful that toward the end of his life Crichton turned into a fuckin climate change denying right wing crank.
Jurassic Park hands down.
Oh of course they did it because I was “uncivil”
Yes.
It is not a strawman you are literally doubling and tripling down on an antisemitic trope known as ZOG. It is an unambiguously neo-Nazi talking point self crit my dude.
What they were? Not surprised really since the mods asside from Dessalines here are pretty shit.
You are doing the same shit man
See the comment right below where another dipshit is claiming the US gov is controlled by Israel and AIPAC.
Except when you peddle antisemitic tropes about the US government being controlled by Israel when the OPPOSITE is true. Fuck you dude. You are a danger to the movements you purportedly support.
idk but Hezbollah might.
metacarpals cuz it sounds like some shit a european philosopher from the 19th century wrote a 2000 page thesis on.
