I’m sorry, but citing “real life therapists” is very weak indeed. They’re trained professionals, sure, but that doesn’t mean they have any better grasp of research methodology or statistics than anyone else.
I excelled at taking tests. One of my particularly exceptional (now useless) abilities was to deduce the answer to one question based on the wording of another question.
I got that a lot, along with “has poor impulse control”… Bitches, if you only knew what impulses I was controlling…

Arch is known for upgrades breaking things, which is easy enough to fix if you know the right incantation, but no beginner is going to guess that correctly, so they post to a forum, and are met with a general condescending attitude, usually several replies that amount to “if you had read the upgrade guide, you’d know what to do.” Of course when googling, you’re much more likely to find the general upgrade instructions, rather than this week’s specific upgrade guide with the known pitfalls and their fixes…


You misunderstood. I meant if it were not a white person, there wouldn’t be a story.
I read it as they think they need to have a need for something to justify having it. I disagree with that premise.
