Living in Japan for a couple of years made me this way.
You’re right and I get it. When I was younger I use to think I needed to switch multiple lanes to pass cars to get to my destination faster.
I didn’t drive aggressively and cut people off, but I noticed most of the time you maybe only save a minute or two on your trip, so honestly it’s not even worth it.
Now I’m just fine with cruising, going the speed limit, and reaching my destination safely. It’s much more relaxing.
Sigh I miss using the train when I lived in Japan.
So true. These people damn near cause accidents just to rush to the next red light. I just don’t understand the amount of aggressive drivers on the road.
You’ll wish you would have taken your time once you find yourself in an accident and hopefully it didn’t cause the life of another person.
Hello all,
Has anyone taken the CCT (Certified Cyber security Technician) course that’s offered through EC-Council?
I’m coming from a field that has nothing to do with tech (Bachelor’s in Supply chain) so I’ve been learning a lot and just trying to take everything in.
Would anyone happen to have any study material that I could use that would help me pass the exam?
From the article,
“Along the way, they can be exposed to detention, deprivation, torture, trafficking, violence, exploitation and rape.”
Jesus, this is depressing. I only hope there is something that can be done in order for these children to reach their destination safely.
No child should ever have to endure this.
Haha. I thought the same thing when I lived in Japan. First time I heard it I was like what do you mean by black companies??
Depends on the exercise. My favorites are heavy squat and deadlifts. It’s just a good feeling increasing the weight every week and hitting new maxes while getting stronger.
I suck at bench so I’m never looking forward to that, but I’ve set goals to hit by the end of the year so I’m sticking to it.
Honestly now, I feel terrible when I don’t workout and it really affects my mental state.
Same here. I’m not going to lie, I’m still a little afraid when I see his face now as well. I think I’ll always be afraid of Chucky.
Chucky 🔪
I’m located in the US and like others have said it’s safe to drink the tap water, but me personally, I run my water through a filter first.
Oh I definitely agree. The Japanese were taught at a young age to show respect to others and to do your best no matter how small or insignificant the job may seem to others. At this point, it is what it is here in the US, I just expect it now. It was just more of a reverse culture shock coming back here after living in Japan for a few years.
I’ve also got my mind set on moving back and staying in Japan permanently when I get the chance.
I’m American but lived in Japan for a couple of years. I was so shocked by the amazing customer service the Japanese workers gave me but never asked or expected a tip.
I was so confused coming back here and seeing all of stores implementing an option to tip and I’m trying to figure out… for what? Most of the workers hardly acknowledge me when I’m there and it feels as if I’m bothering them coming to order something, and then they turn the iPad around asking for a tip.
This honestly needs to stop.
Oh I’ve actually been told by fat people that there’s no way that I actually enjoy working out and that I’m forcing myself to go to the gym while not enjoying it.
Guess it’s weird I like improving my physique and enjoying seeing how I can reach new goals ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
