The thing is trumps main focus right now is tearing apart the government but he does hit road blocks in that you can’t just fire people without reason unless they have not been there long. So its being fought and he is limited. In a government shutdown scenario the executive (trump) has to furlough people and can decide who is necessary and who is not. Courts can’t put a stop to it because its a furlough due to a shutdown. Then any bad effects can now be blamed on the democrats plus when the shutdown is over he can point to we ran well enough without the furloughed folks which is why they should be let go. The shutdown is not really a good option. I get the feeling but the smart move was to prevent the shutdown.

Its an opinion. There is no way to know what the intention of the peer jury system is as there is nothing they said in either direction for it. I actually think it was intended even before the us but in some historical context it was an elite who was allowed to be on the jury and not ever voting citizen. In the same way they could control the enforcement of the law.

In the us you can have minor or minors to go with your major and I have sometimes thought if I was to do it over I should have been a math major an then grabbed like an accounting or finance minor and a cs minor.

I actually do feel it was intended and is part of why the founding fathers felt a jury of the peers was important. I think they intended it as the ultimate check on the system in that if despite everything some crazy laws are passed they could be kept from being enforced.

ohio in particular im disapointed in. like I understand alabama and kentucky with their education but ohio is a massive disapointment.
