I used to do the same thing. The mall I went to was huge and getting from one side to the other took awhile because it wasn’t a straight line. Once I figured out all the side hallways you could use them as shortcuts saving lots of time. I was young enough that everyone assumed I worked there and since I didn’t do anything to draw attention people ignored me.

Some light does penetrate the skull. So not completely dark. Also the blood brain barrier is semi permeable, so not completely sealed.
You need to speak frankly about this with your manager. Your manager needs to talk to this person about what behaviors are acceptable and what are not. If your manager is unwilling to do this, it’s time to go.
I was on an international flight recently and the map was great. It had an sorts of zoom and different visualizations with landmarks. Really good. Only downside was realizing we were passing something cool and I couldn’t see it because no window.
