Nothing prevents you drom installing a linux os on an android phone, provided someone made a rom for your device. It’s just not very useable due to proprietary drivers. Ubuntu touch exists for example, but on most phones you can’t even use the cellular antenna iirc
Based on the videos I’ve seen, I don’t think it’s just batteries. Li-ion batteries don’t really explode, they burst into a lot of flames and stay burning for a while.
You can also hover over the title to see the full thing. But this also got annoying since they start playing the video when you hover, so sometimes when you take too long it’ll mark the video as played. I honestly hate that hover play feature, who actually wants to watch a video from the start in that tiny ass window? The thing where they’d show some stills from several points in the video was much better imo.
Doesn’t really work when 99% of posts are marked undetermined.
Proton drive has a photo backup option in the app, but their gallery thing is still lacking in features. You can’t edit or crop photos, and you can’t create albums and stuff like that. It’s really just a list of photos and nothing more.
Ahh, was wondering what was up with those comments on an issue I made.
Pretty much immediately got 2 comments with shady mediafire links in them.
The views are all just webviews. You can find all of the pages in the app/src/main/assets/pages folder, it’s all html and css.
Their package name is also still com.example, their target sdk doesn’t match their compile sdk, and also neither match with the target sdk in their AppManifest.xml.
So I’m guessing this is just someone who isn’t really familiar with java or native android views or something, so just decided to build it in something they do know instead.
Haven’t heard from them yet, so i guess they’re not gonna reply unfortunately
Well that’s nice of them, now you can easily just change that password which of course you only use for one account.
You could also host a website like that on Cloudflare pages for free. That way you even get ddos protection and some other stuff.
I was also wondering what that linux claim means, so I just sent them an email to ask. Hope they get back to me with an actual answer.
This is not true. I’ve seen a lot of people from my own country and others claim the same thing, but so far every time I’ve looked it up for countries it turned out to not be true.
You just have to be clear about which payment methods you accept upfront.

I guess the equivalent would be burning down a traffic control building or something, taking out the traffic lights (assuming those are centrally controlled, i have no clue tbh)
But even that would be mostly solved by sending out all the lollipop people.
Yeah, it looks cool and well thought-out, but I just don’t really see a use case for this. Maybe if it was more lightweight it could be used as a portable keyboard/controller, though I would personally probably still just bring an xbox one controller instead.
I was recently comparing some phone plans and found that nowadays, you mostly just pay the actual price of the device, plus the normal subscription costs, no interest or anything.
Got a Pixel 8 Pro from Odido (awful service btw, would not go with them again). The device costs me 30 euros per month, for 2 years, which comes out to 720 euros at the end. That’s actually cheaper than the normal resale price of ~870 (average according to Tweakers).
Actually thinking about it now, I wonder what the catch is. That kinda seems too good to be true.
Aren’t you supposed to not kill cockroaches? i thought it’d attract more or something
Huh, just noticed my link shows the price at 100 euros, but the bloated one shows it for 121 euros
Nvm different size was pre-selected

Link without all the unnecessary crap
Wait so it’s just a design choice? I mean I get they were the first but really, who really cares about stuff like that?
