Probably at a hurricane.
Probably at a hurricane.
Please give me just enough new dems to get things passed. I wanted a lib majority, but if it’s a minority give them enough new dems to work with.
Saddam Hussein , 1979. Have you seen that video?
This is disgusting, how can so many Americans look at this man’s antics and think a single positive thing? A criminal, rapist, liar, narcissistic, selfish, easily manipulated, hate monger, moron but the exit polls say “oh Trump would be best for the economy” like are you fucking kidding me? The guy with the plan to slap a tariff on every other thing? The guy who can’t string together a coherent speech for the economics club? What a joke this all is, and here I am absoltuly physically sick about it. I’m sick because it actually matters, it does, it matters and it’s so damn close this fucking clown could be in power again, after killing so many people, after taking women’s rights away, after all of it, and because what? Voters remember cheaper bananas or some shit? Fuck this life.
Yea, you’ve nailed it.
Peterson is bad because he appeals to lonely blue collar millennial men who, if they had positive male role models or better friends, would have a real chance of being actual decent people.
Tate is bad because he appeals to young men and boys who lack the life experience to know the guy is a loser and a grifter.
My opinion anyway.
Oh, 100%, society is underestimating the terrible influence Tate, Peterson, and similar grifters are having on men (especially younger men).
Big tough guy sucker punched an old lady. Trump would be proud if it were possible for him to give a shit about anyone but himself.
Anyone else would already have been sentenced. Lady Justice clearly peaked out from behind the blindfold.
And the democrats are at least working towards a cease fire. Trump would let Bibi turn his enemies lands to glass because Trump only cares about Trump.
Maybe it was watching their chief asset waving back and forth for 39 straight minutes instead of answering questions.
Cromomulant, even.
I dunno, I kind of like ethicically. Once you start saying it, it has a nice ring to it.
It’s popular with me, like most people I get back more than I put in.
For me, this is one of the best albums of my lifetime. Perfectly timed in 2004, a great rock opera with an interesting story to tell from front to back. It’s an album where the vinyl experience, where you can’t skip or shuffle, is used to full effect. If you haven’t heard this album, or haven’t heard it in a long time, or haven’t heard it back to front with a critical ear to the text and subtext, well, go listen right now.
Ugh, now all I can afford is “not me” to install them. Not experts that’s for sure.
(this is not a joke, not really).
Insanity, especially considering trans people are more likely to be victims than perpetrators.
No, I have a lot of experience in liberal organizations and they are not, despite the memes, closer to conservatism than progressivism. It honestly makes me feel like most people on lemmy have never really worked with liberal groups.
The major differences between a liberal and a social democrat or progressive comes down largely to deciding when a market has failed and when to use government intervention, both Liberals and progressives are fine with intervention, only the threshold changea. We want the same things, mostly, but disagree on how to get them.
Conservatives, philosophical Conservatives anyway, won’t typically even consider such a thing, and often do not even want the same things as Liberals or progressives.
This both sides same stuff just hurts progressive causes, because it sours mushy people with little to no real philosophy on voting for liberal parties. Those people flip flop back to Conservatives when they get angry and we lose the progress we’ve made, as is about to happen in Canada.
The average vehicle is, for the last 20 years or so, pegged at 4000 lbs when doing road damage calculations. A Chevy bolt EV is around 3800 lbs, or smaller than average, while Tesla vehicles are heavier. Road damage is proportional to the per axle weight to the fourth power, or in short “The fourth power law”. The take away point from that law is that all vehicles in and around that 4000 lb range and nothing, notta, moot, compared to large trucks and shipping rigs. Small increases in weight mean big differences in road wear.
As an example. Take the bolt EV at 3800 lbs, the F150 at 4200 lbs, and the F350 at 6764 lbs.
The bolt and f150 would have 1900lbs and 2100lbs per axle respectively. Applying the fourth power rule the F150 does (2100/1900)^4= 1.49 times the damage of a Bolt EV. Meanwhile the F350 does , (3382/1900)^4 = 10 times the road damage.
So then, is it true that the F150 and F350 will be made to pay 1.5 and 10 times the registration and fuel taxes of an EV like the Bolt? I have not yet seen this to be true anywhere EV taxes are reality. Now imagine how much damage a delivery van, or large shipping vehicle does.
The other part of this is environmental damage, are these states going to find a way to charge for carbon emissions proportionally from the gas vehicles? Of course not.
