  • There’s no concept of “casual bigotry” as there’s no “ranked bigotry”. A bigot is a bigot the same way as a nazi is a nazi even if he only shares a meal with other known nazis.

No amount of sane washing can change their nature, only re-education and facing consequences for their choices will.

It’s time to stop being polite and understanding with people who have no sense of community or care for others around them, keeping this attitude will never solve the problem. If you show mercy to this people they will continue to resent you while feeling as victims of an unjust system (in their eyes) and will continue to spread their worldview to their spawn presenting it as a “counterculture” to the mainstream way of life keeping this circle of hate and victimisation alive.

We have to break the circuit by showing to their faces why they aren’t adapt to be living among us and we need to be clear in our messaging, otherwise any small window we will leave they will use it to maintain their positions and preach their gospel of hatred.

  • It’s useless man, people are just looking at their finances and their fake freedoms (I can choose between McDonald’s and Popeye what to eat!!! Muh freedom!!!) to understand that they’ve lost their actual freedoms with the patriot act and a series of sweeping changes to the rule of law due to the “war on terror” the USA have brought on since the start of the 2000s. Before that it was an all out attack against economic freedoms, starting with the cancellation of the differentiation between investment and saving banks until the loss in regulations against malpractices brought forward by corporations.

The best slave is the one who think he is free because he won’t fight back under no circumstances. They cannot see any chains on their wrists but are unable to see the (always shorter) leash around their neck. And they would die defending their masters, thinking to be fighting the good fight.

We can just try to present our position as clearly as possible, we could be opening the eyes of someone reading our comments and that’s all that matter.

    Keep on keeping on dude

  • Those people are not leftists, they are children who never grow out of their egoistic phase and are unable to see the world through any other point of view than theirs. They want it all and they don’t care about other human beings, especially if those are not in their “tribe” or “family”. They see life as a zero sum game where if they see someone gaining something this must mean they are loosing something else of the same value.

They need to be excluded from society and reformed if they wish to return to be a part of it. I’m not blaming them, I’m calling for their punishment and exclusion from any and all part of a just society, independent from them being lied to or not. You can be fooled only for so long if you don’t want to know the truth; if you are still being fooled after decades of lies you’re not being lied to, you want to be lied to and this, to me, makes you as culpable as the one telling you you his lies. Why could there be so little “reformed” maga today if this wasn’t the case? (And be careful, those who today say to have understood the pain inflicted by this administration we’re only able to do so because they were the recipient of such pain. Would Trump not have messed with the prices of their trinkets they would still be foaming at the mouth at his rallies)

We tried to re-educate nazis here in Europe after WW2 but, as you can see from the most recent election results, this has not bore any fruit. Nazis don’t understand reason, they only understand violence and strength. The sooner you realise you have more in common with a bonobo than with a nazi the sooner you’ll realise they deserve nothing but scorn, contempt and a massive dose of violence to be kept in place.

  • If you still think like this after a first 4 years term in which Trump already showed his antidemocratic tendencies and another 4 years in which he only attacked his opposed political party doing nothing to find common ground with the other aisle in the interest of the common good, well, I don’t know how to tell you this but you are part of the problem as the 77 millions of people who voted for Trump in the last election.

If you’re unable to burst a bubble like the one surrounding the current GOP you shouldn’t be allowed to vote or express your ideas publicly. You don’t have the mental acuity necessary to form a coherent thought and you should be treated as such, until you prove yourself to have become better than whatever you are today.

It’s time to end this weak ass way to look at people who are actively supporting a fascist regime, stop justifying them and hold them accountable for their choices. Cut all contacts with them, work against them, antagonise them in any way you can. Stop pretending they are good people being lied to: they are bad people looking for someone who will lie to allow themselves to follow their worst instincts and then turn around when everything will be over saying “I was just following orders”

  • And yet you’re the one who cancelled his comment. Pray tell, is it not true that the rise in American authoritarianism started in the late 60es, when the government started to act in spite of what public opinions thought about its action in foreign countries and wars? If not, can you please post any proof supporting this thesis of yours? Because it’s sure as he’ll that I, as many others, will never take your word for granted if you aren’t able to support it with factual information.

Take your head out if your ass and realise that American (like most of us in the “developed” world) have been bought with pearls and trinkets to subdue their reasoning capabilities and voices to capitalism and its venomous fruits. The sooner you accept this ACTUAL FACT the sooner you can start fighting the good fight against capitalism and its cronies (who may also be your friends and family; not all capitalists drive around in nice cars or live in big villas. Most of them are “momentarily embarrassed billionaires” or delusional victims as I like to call them)

  • I must admit I’m one of the few who can recognize both his parents in this description. Both with their flaws and icks but they are wonderful human beings who have grown me in the man I am today and still remain a reference point to go back to when things get dire or difficult.

I hope everyone or at least a vast majority of people will experience this is a near future; be the best versions of yourselves, if not for you do it for your children!!!

  • The 5th point is the reason why you should be happy with yourself before embarking on a relationship with another person. Relationships are not the panacea people paint them to be, as all other human endeavours they require work, maintenance and commitment to be healthy and stable. And these can be provided once you can mainly focus on the relationship itself rather than on yourself.

Please note that this doesn’t mean that you’ll have to cancel all the work you do on yourself while being in a relationship, it just means that your self-work has become such a standard that you don’t even have to think about what you have to do to be happy by yourself, you know yourself so well that you do what is needed as if it was a second nature.

Also, avoid thinking about relationships as in your point 4 of the con-list: comparing instinctual behaviour acted by animals with reasoned choices performed by humans is belittling of our actions and an excuse to justify our worst behaviours. We are not (entirely) animals and we shouldn’t use them as a ruler to assess what is right and wrong in our day to day activities.

Best of luck for your future

  • Italian here. After the second world war, with a tired and mostly reformed population, Italy was poised to become a modern country capable of sitting at the same table of the G7 nations. For 20 years we enjoyed a level of growth which was possible only thanks to the reconstruction required to recover from the wounds of the war. Inthat same timeframe a centrist political force (DC or Democrazia Cristiana [Christian Democracy in English]) would take control of our institutions promising a moderate model fo governance fat away from both the right and the left extremes. They effectively worked to keep the status quo fixed at the beginning of the '900, having the populace split between the ruling class (those who had the money and the means to have their son’s complete their course of study in universities) and the working class (those who could feed their families and provide them with a roof over their heads). The only incremental improvement the latter could taste was “La dolce vita” (the sweet life), a concept where Italians were able to have a 3 weeks vacation period during summer and the money allowance to be able to buy leisure goods such as refrigerators, TVs and cars.

Fast forward a couple of decades and Italians found themselves stunlocked in a cage, unable to be heard by the politics and asking for a different kind of freedom. We were requesting a social improvement by receiving the right to divorce, to abort and to arrange unions on our workplaces. All rights which were against the status quo and therefore ignored by the (very Christian) ruling party. Give the situation another 10 years (during which the state committed violence against those who spoke about those rights) and the Italian people produced the Brigate Rosse (BR in short, Red Brigades in English), a terrorist organisation with a communist background who was able to exert violence via weapons and terrorist attacks specifically targeted against the ruling class. Result of this time frame, know as “anni di piombo” (lead years) for us Italians? We can now divorce, abort and arrange unions on our workplace.

I have given you this small history fact to make you understand that, even if as a European I am appalled at the idea of owning a fire weapon, sometimes the highest hierarchies need to be reminded that a populace is not just an amorphous aggregate of single people but a force to be reckon with. And personal violence is a very direct and clear message.

  • If I may spend my two cents in this discussion I’d like to also propose Mr. Hicks as one of the true thinkers and philosopher of the last century. He had a lot in common with George from a social analysis standpoint and he also saw us humans as bi-faced entities capable of producing both the nastiest and the most beautiful acts while recognising that usually the lowest and most destructive instincts were the one guiding our choices.

As George did for you he also helped me forming my vision of the world and its current state of affairs while also making me laugh manically.

A huge thanks to both these men for helping some of us finding a way to navigate through this sensless journey, you’ll not be forgotten

  • Yeah, I know, but even his story is far from being over. He might be dead but his clan and his way if conducting business are certainly not over: assuming the opposite is exactly what mafia would like us to know since it requires ignorance from both the people and the state to thrive at the best of its abilities.

Cave semper canem when talking about mafia and choose your words carefully as they are vmmasters if trickery and deception on top of being horrible human beings (if such kind of animals can be even called “humans” at this point).

Peppino Impastato forever an hero, Messina Denaro forever a shitstain on the heel of the Italian boot

  • Well, one of the two parties available is bent over in respecting corporate interests while eroding societal safety nets, the other is doing the same but with an accent on religious authoritarianism in service of an orange Cheeto.

There would be more than enough space for them to cooperate on common ground but, unfortunately for the oligarchs, the latter party seems to have lost the script of the standard political play and is now giving it’s leading roles to real nutsacks who are (unwillingly) exposing the inner workings of the political machine for everyone to see. As I see the situation from Italy this can only be a good thing as seeing the innards of a broken machine is the first step to start its necessary maintenance

  • You seem to equate a family not having a body with not having news of that soldier. But Ukraine has been collecting and identifying Russian bodies since the start of the war, and notifying families wherever possible. Many of the soldiers also have their own phones, and those phones have told the west a great deal about what is really going on behind Russian lines. Yet you seem sure that none of those soldiers would use their phones to speak of deaths within the unit. Interesting take.

You seem to forget that, following the bombing caused by a massive presence of phone signals in a single spot, Russia has been much more careful in letting its trooper use their cellphones. Beside that I imagine a family not having any news from his relatives at the front would be anxious for their loved ones and would start asking questions, even if it meant facing criminal charges. Ukraine can identify a portion of the bodies from the battlefield I imagine, and they would be able to reach the families of an even small percentage I reckon.

LOL. Think that over a bit and get back to me. Seriously.

I’ve thought about it and I really can’t see who can pay Wagner’s operators salaries, let alone arming them according to their standards (much better than the Russian army ones, can we agree on that?).

As far as I know Russia pays its soldiers 300-400€ a month and Wagner mercenaries are paid circa 2k (those who are not serving instead of being in a cell). Prigozhin was capable of providing for Wagner through his affairs in Africa and through the money he got from the Kremlin, will Putin be able to substitute such an income? What will happen if not? I’ve got my answers but they are just hypotheticals, who will live will see.

True enough. But that does not make either of us an expert on Russian affairs. His article does make one of us a fantasy writer, though.

He certainly knows Wagner better than you since he probably met them on the battlefield.

Works for me, lol. It’s just an opinion, and everyone’s got one.

But it helps, when forming an opinion, to acquaint oneself with all available fact first. And to be completely honest, you didn’t even spot the most questionable opinion in my post. (Hint: Who is Sergei Shoigu?) But keep working on it, because as far as I’m concerned the more people that are interested in the subject as whole, whether right or wrong, the better.

Thank you for taking the time to state your disagreement.

No problems, it’s a pleasure to have a conversation about these thematics since there is always to learn about any subject. In this sense, who is Sergei Shoigu? What I know about him is that he is a Putin sycophant only good as a yes man and coming from a political career scarcely linked to any military activity. Am I missing any information about the man?
