That’s the one thing I don’t like about Truenas. It technically can spin down disks, but there’s no way to force them. You can set the idle timer to 5 minutes, but then it constantly spins them back up again. Now I just power the entire system down with home assistant outside of the usage hours and I can power it up again with home assistant using wake on Lan.

A bit goofy, but it works for me

Great phone, kept my S9+ until 2 years ago. Upgraded because the battery was dead. Could’ve replaced it but wanted to switch it out anyways. Couldn’t go back anymore now though, that 60Hz screen is a deal breaker for me now

Yeah they flood themselves on startup, they are particularly unsuited for short drives

I like how dinosaurs are now commonly accepted to have had feathers

Where did the multiple trillions of our taxpayer dollars go if that spending wasn’t used to prepare for modern warfare?

You should watch “The Pentagon Wars”, a good movie about wasting money

I’d like to say that the US military is completely unaccounted for in any emissions statistic

they prefer running water instinctually

I’ve heard that before and it makes sense, but my cat also likes to stick is head in whatever container outside is filled with old rain water

Damn, that’s enough to deform PLA 3d prints

How hot does your room get in such a process?

What do you mean pc’s aren’t faster? Yes they have more cores, they also clock higher (mostly) and have more instructions per clock. Computers now perform way better than ever before in every single metric most tasks, even linear ones, could be way faster

Yeah they updated the steam deck after that post that would allow skipping the startup animation

Me

Are you kidding me, this is also an adhd thing??

Nah, the most ADHD person I know doesn’t suffer from this and I know plenty of non ADHD people who do. I think it’s just some form of addiction

Kyoto didn’t impress me that much, but the forest was one of the greatest disappointments of my trip, even it there wouldn’t be A lot of people it would’ve been very mid

Fuck a lot

Shit

Het wordt 30 graden vandaag, doe normaal

https://wid.world/income-comparator/

How the hell am I in the bottom 46% with an annual income of €38000?

Edit: I see, I think this is more about purchasing power than income, selecting some random 3rd world country would out me way higher

We also haven’t stopped emitting C02, not even close. Have emissions even peaked yet? Realistically, we’re fucked

Not with that mindset

A year ago ai couldn’t even make any sort of recognisable text, now it can do it flawlessly
