Lack of even remotely niche content (aside from Linux and infosec content)
Until 0.19.6 comes out of beta and Lemmy.world upgrades to it, it’s actually hard for any other instance besides it to remain up to date with content.
For people reading this: the top 20 instances are up-to-date with LW with the exception of aussie.zone and programming.dev (the latter one being an issue with their own database, nothing to do with LW)
Even communities for fairly large hobbies or interests can be dead on Lemmy.
Have you looked at [email protected] ?
Power tripping mods.
Voyager has word filters : https://m.lemmy.world/
Have you tried setting up the languages in the settings? If communities don’t configure languages properly, you can also point it out to them
Have a look at [email protected]
You don’t have to as those are in the settings you can export/import
True, Tesseract might not be for everyone
https://lemmy.cafe/instances does
Single admin low population instance though, so as usual it might disappear overnight
Yes, they’re there, in the old account on the old instance, and not here, where the new account on the new instance is.
Why does it matter? Lemmy has no karma. You can keep your “reputation” bye’ using the same name and picture. You can search them using the usual search feature focused on that account.
Genuinely asking, I changed accounts a lot in the past and never encountered any issue
You can make a new account on slrpnk.net and then import and export your settings from this account to the new one. That would take two clicks
You can see the list of subs on the right side of the interface
