You can not really have 100% alcohol. It’s really hard to get the last few percent of water out of it. Destillation is useless at that percentage and drying agents are used, but even they can’t get all water out. Defederation was meant as a last measure to block instances like gab.ai or truth social. Not to block content the Moderators may not like. At the end it should be the users choice what content they enjoy. Large instances blocking each other betrays the whole idea, the dream that we can all communicate. This is, at its core, Gmail blocking Outlook users to send mails to Gmail users because Outlook allows X, Y and Z and its just insanity.
