As bad as African slavery was, I kinda agree with you that it might not actually be the worst thing humans have done to each other.
Specifically, how many native populations were genocided by colonizers the world over?

We had a bob tailed void named Robert, the most loving and friendly cat I’ve ever met. Literally the only things he cared about were food and being loved on.
Only lived 5 years, congestive heart failure. Apparently he wasn’t a true bob and the mutation that causes the shortened tail can also cause other health issues.

I know one anecdote doesn’t invalid proper scientific research but … erections and even orgasm is not impossible on MDMA. I (a guy) have definitely had a bunch of sex on MDMA, not always to completion but sometimes.
The paper you linked states this at the end of the introduction, emphasis mine:
The phenomenological features of the psychological state induced by MDMA ** show some similarities** with features of the post-orgasmic state.
…
Here, we ** present the hypothesis ** that the impairment of sexual parameters after MDMA may be mediated by increased prolactin."
Every time I see that name I can’t help but pronounce it pene-lope instead of pen-elo-pe

Oh man, flashbacks to an ancient meme.

We have two cats, a void and a grump. The voids full name is Robert but he goes by Bob, my wife calls him “little kitty” because he was a tiny kitten when we got him, I call him “you fat fuck” because he got up to 19 lbs before we started putting him on a diet (14 lbs now)
The grumps full name is Norman (as in Norman Bates, serial killer) but he goes by Norm (as in not normal), my wife calls him Normie and I call him “shut up you” because he’s constantly crying about something
My dogs have learned that the sound of a knife on the cutting board means there’s a chance food of some kind might make it to the floor, so they come running.

And we cannot forget one of the best comedy actors of all time, Leslie Neilson

Percentage is probably one of the easiest ways to calculate a difference but presenting a percentage change can be mildly misleading if you don’t know what the original numbers are.
An increase of 100% is really a 2x increase, 1000% increase is an 11x increase.
If there used to be 1 ICE raid a month and now there are 11, that’s a 1000% increase. Given the change in directive and ramp up in action I’d be somewhat surprised if it was only 1000%

What did you think he’s robbing from the cradle, the toys?
Pretty sure it’s space fascist all the way down. There are no good guys in the 40k universe
It depends on the type/grade of magnet

I haven’t bought anything from Walmart, Amazon, or Target in over a decade, probably close to two. Sure it costs a little more, but I try to source as much as I can from Costco which helps balance but otherwise I do almost all my shopping from local groceries (surefine, tops) and local hardware stores (franchises I know but generally locally owned)

A friend of mine introduced me to this channel and I love it. They do such amazing historical recreation of so many different aspects of pre-modern life. One of my favorites

Stretch, focus on muscle groups in your hands or arms or shoulders or neck if you can’t get up, back or hips or calfs or ankles if you’re standing

It’s about direction of rotation, does the wrench turn left or turn right, there isn’t the same notion of up and down / in and out because that portion happens when the bolt or nut turns. Also, anything rotation is moving the opposite direction on the other side of the rotation, so if you have to tighten a screw that turns towards you it’s the opposite

I remember having a demo for giants: citizen Kabuto, it was a weird and fun third person shooter. The thing I remember most is the initial quest giver guy and the way he would say “huuungry” something about it stuck in my brain

Simple and easy are not the same thing. Sure, enriching uranium is simple, you just centrifuge it so that the heavier, less stable isotopes separate from the bulk. Simple.
The reason it’s relevant is that most working people do not earn salaries, they earn hourly rates. I’m a welding engineer earning a salary, working with maintenance men and welders and operators who all earn hourly rates. Every company I’ve ever worked for has both salary and hourly and also an HR department.
The situation you are describing does not align with the vast majority of working people’s experiences.
The leidenfrost effect is definitely a real and neat phenomenon
