“We will find public services better like the police, fire departments and medicare so you never have to worry if help is coming in your hour of need”
“We will ensure everyone has access to healthcare whether rich or poor, insured or not so you never need to worry about losing your job and your health cover at the same time.”
“We will invest in public transport to better connect our rural communities to make it easier to get well paying jobs even if you don’t live in metropolis”
"we will invest in green energy and transport and retrain workers from the fossil fuel industry to improve the quality of the air you breathe, without putting coal and oil workers out in the cold“
“We will pay for this by taxing corporations who have for too long got away with paying lower tax rates than you, all while making record profits and creating billionaires like Bezos and Musk who use their immense power to convince you that what is good for you is actually bad for you.”
Systematically removed from office and primaried from power anywhere and everywhere they appear.
Bernie is an Independent and as a senator is mostly the exception to this rule. The remaining progressive House members are isolated and picked off in primaries each cycle.
Which makes the entire situation so laughably ridiculous.
The left of America have only been fighting for what the rest of the developed world has had for generations, but America’s such a heavily indoctrinated hyper-capitalist plutocratic dystopia that they have been labelled “radical” and the best concession the plutocracy could offer is a turd like the ACA. Like, obviously the left have rejected the Dems Neoliberalism, and want the entire system burned to the ground. They already considered democracy to be a charade, and now the Democrats will be forced to accept that fact too.
Maybe Bernie has some ideas on who and what policies we should rally around. He’s already torching the dems for this and as far as I’m concerned he is the only one that can take on a leading role at this point. Literally every single establishment Democrat participated and failed in this and it’s clear a new progressive push is needed.
MAGA didn’t win tugging our sleeves slightly toward the right. It’s time to acknowledge reality finally.
Where are all the passionate leftist politicians.

In most of Europe this isn’t leftist policy, it’s common sense centrist policy.
