Someone told me that if you keep your gaze fixed and imagine a completely black circle right above someone’s head, what you are actually doing is telepathy… so far I haven’t researched more about it but I have noticed that some strange things happen when I do that, I see spirals and the vision looks different, could someone confirm what your experience is when doing the same?
Edit: As someone said in the comments, have you ever seen an image in black and white with a red dot in the center what if you keep your stare fixed for a certain time in it and close and open your eyes rapidly you see the image of JesusChrist? Maybe it is realated to the phenomenon in some way.
If someone try it and notice some result please let me know.
It’s not telepathy. Telepathy isn’t real. Your eyes are probably just moving thru different levels of focus and your brain is picking up on other patterns as it tries to find focus.
I noticed something interesting out of it, it has happened to me on multiple occasions when I like a person I usually turn to look at them in a row, for example in a classroom, and suddenly it seems that that person notices that you are looking at them and turns to look at you. I was curious if other people have the same experience, thank you for your opinion.
I believe its totally fake, but wondering what other people have experienced.
It’s called confirmation bias.
Combined with the human hyper sensitivity of being looked at, probably.
I have noticed that it has also happened to me the other way around, basically you go around and it happens automatically, you feel someone looking at you but there is not even any indication of it, not out of the corner of your eye or anything, it has simply happened to me with men and women and my thoughts on that Precise moment varies depending on the circumstance. It can be anything positive or negative. Just before it passes my head automatically turns in the direction of the person who is looking at me, I think it happens when someone concentrates more on their thoughts than on what they are really seeing at that moment.
And I think it’s a result of our evolutionary trait of being very sensitive to people looking at us. If we see someone out of the corner of our eye looking at us it alerts us. And if we truly can’t see them, we can’t tell at all, but checking to see if they’re looking at you makes them feel stared at, so they’ll look at you back. Is that confusing?
Wikipedia sums it up well. In proper scientific tests, it’s fruitless.
Maybe the effect depends on the telepathic level of the person staring at the other person
In my personal case when I stare at someone they look at me after like 5 seconds of doing it.
Thx for the link btw apparently this it’s being documented nearly 2017 so it’s pretty new, I believe there is something interesting about this.
Maybe my contact was right and this is actually how telepathy works…
You are cherry picking and only acknowledging information that supports telepathy. You are ignoring the evidence against it, which takes majority. Why?
Thats not telepathy.
Its imagination
Any time someone tells you they have an easy trick for some life changing ability ask yourself why everyone doesn’t know about it already. Probably because it doesn’t do squat.
That may be true, but this time might be different.
chemical saturation of the neural net activated by a fixed stare? like when you say the same word over and over and it loses all meaning
This. Happens more frequently than you think.
Most noticeable is when you just wake up, and begin to stare through a very bright area (like a window) and then close your eyes again.
The “sillouete” of the window (which is in a very weird color gamut) would appear with your eyelids closed, even if you move your eyes around.
After few seconds of eyes-closed, it disappears.
Let me know if you find any result trying what I say in the main post. I’m wondering if someone experience something relevant with that information.
If I do it with a photo, am I engaging in telepathy with the person in the photo?
Hmmm, time to ask Douglass Adams what he meant by 42.
I believe it should be a real human objective not a photo.

Mental eval time?
I always begin seeing weird shapes if I keep my eyes fixed somewhere. Doesn’t matter where it is, can be a white wall even. I don’t think it’s anything more than a quirk of how our eyes work.
How long until you see shapes?

Have you tried looking at someone face instead of a wall?
Edit: ding ding ding we got a telepath…
Any news about this mate?

Oh, I remember I did this in kindegarden. I didn’t have anything better to do during “activities” so I just stared down the caretaker(? I’m not native). Not long after halos and outlines apeared around her. My child self tought she was some angel. Anyways good drugless trip.
that’s cute!
This whole thread is a hoot
Thank you

I thought the same as you, but according to my results and possibly some people who have also commented, it may be that something peculiar is happening, I would not dare to assure that what my contact told me is real but I do think that something strange is happening.
I have a question. Do you truly think it’s more likely that something extraordinary is occurring, rather than concluding humans aren’t built perfect? Or is it more exciting to believe that something cool and magical is happening, and you perhaps choose to pursue that possibility?
I think it’s a 50/50
The scientific method aims to refine theories based on new and best available evidence. There isn’t compelling scientific evidence supporting telepathy, but the fallibility of human vision is extensively documented. So how come you think it’s 50/50?
I like to believe it is possible, I mean there is a bunch of people who believe in god beside there isn’t any scientific evidence of it, so scientific evidence lack it’s not exactly a determinating factor. Btw scientific evidence are made with in field work first and as I tested this in the field I can confirm there is something happening here.
Scientific evidence is through experiments using the scientific method, which tries to eliminate bias. The wikipedia article provides both adequate and inadequate experiments. You are biased and you’re “testing” in uncontrolled environments. You could hardly call it evidence.
In this right moment I am unavailable to run a controlled experiment but if someone out there read this and want to do it i believe it will bring relevant information.
Edit: but at least they should try to do it wherever place they are first, cos as I told you I believe not all people are capable to do the trick.
When I stare and blink my eyes I see Joe Pesci, maybe from how I was raised.
The human eye cheats…a lot. It fills in blinds spots with estimates to keep you from confusion. If you’re looking above someone’s head, you’re using one of those blind spots.
There’s also an especially large emphasis on facial recognition hardwired into the amygdala, that we use to quickly identify potential threats.
When you put those two things together, you get some weird stuff. Try this video out. You’ll see how fast your brain will display distorted faces in favor of speed of identification over accuracy.
That’s an optical illusion I agree about it, what I’m talking about isn’t an optical illusion, it’s about the key to access to a 6th sense. It’s not about something you look with your eyes it’s about something you look with your brain.
If you are in a complete dark room what you see?
The eyes trick it’s just the way to make the brain telepathy work.
Or at least it’s what I understand of this, you should try it just to find out if it work for you or not.
Unlike others in this thread, I do happen to believe telepathy is real. I don’t know if this is how to access it, though. Might be worth checking techniques used by military researchers or the Princeton Consciousness Project.
I believe some things I’d also get downvoted for, but telepathy? The ability to read one’s mind at will? Without any probing or device? That’s far even for me. And I heed the fucking flat Earth theory.
The person who told me work for an intelligence agency.
…and there it is
