        Up to a 7-inch wingspan. They’re the size of hummingbirds.

    Moths are beautiful.

    Then again, I just noticed how much of it’s body and legs look like they belong to a chunky spider.

    Any idea what the texture is of the fuzzy body? Soft? Prickly? Smooth?

      Soft, AFAIK. Based on the many specimens I’ve seen, it’s really only the caterpillar stages where you sometimes see prickles (for defense).

      And of course, you generally do NOT want to touch such creatures, as the prickles tend to release in to one’s skin, and can be anywhere from itchy / irritable to amazingly painful.
