I got an e-reader which should be able to do both. I thought: maybe it works if I listen to the audio book and read it at the same time. Turns out you can’t do both on the e-reader at the same time. Sigh.
Also, when listening to an audio book written from one perspective is reasonably fine, but books with different stories and time lines eventually coming together is just too confusing. I listened to the Handmaid’s Tale which was fine. The books of The Expanse however, I could not handle (I quit after the first 3 chapters of book 1). “Who was he again? Where are they? Wait, did I miss something? Whaaaat?”
Watching series works best for me. I need to see it, hear it, with English subtitles so I can read it. I wish I was better at reading books, I’m really missing out on great stories and on the original stories of the series that I watch.
