    What is the worst this has ever got?

    900 cases usually means there are lot more under the radar, or does “suspected cases” also include estimate on those.

    We were warned about this in the 90s. These two books should be required reading:

    The Hot Zone - Richard Preston

    The Coming Plague - Laurie Garrett

    It’s the same story in both. Preston’s book is a little sensationalized and reads like a Michael Crighton novel. Light, breezy and horrifying.

    Garretts book reads like a New York Times article, painstakingly reaearched and sourced.

      It’s also marketed like a Crichton novel, the last time I saw the paperback it had the exact same styling as Jurassic Park
