It’s a fascinating case study of hubris how they think having those bunkers will actually do them any good. Even if it all goes to plan and nobody retaliates (they will) what do they plan to do when it’s time for them to stay in there? Just slowly rot and lose their minds even further than they already have? They really are viruses, just mindlessly mutating over and over until they’re too lethal for the host to sustain them.
They think they’re gonna get in and wait for the poors to kill each other then come out and rebuild society in their image.
What I think will happen is people will try to get in and when that fails they will either seal them inside permanently or just dump some nasty chemicals down the air shafts.
Also they really think that when society breaks down the people with guns they hired are going to follow the billionaire’s orders when they could just be the ones in charge?
Yep, it’s just as likely their little for hire society and their own family will go crazy and start a fire inside or poison them inside their self made guilded cage.
