Brexit had the support of the majority, at least in the referendum.
This has the support of ~20% of the province’s pop. at max. Not to mention how awkward it would be to end up with a rectangle for a country in the middle of North America.
The only way Alberta gets separated from Canada is through American annexation. In neither case will it remain independent.
