      I have issues with PieFed.social after seeing how immature Rimu acts. If he’s going to delete communities I help run, I’m not going to trust him to be in direct control of them.

        I never had any issues with Rimu’s moderation.

        [email protected] hasn’t had a post in a month. It takes a lot of effort to keep a community active, which is why contributing to one usually helps.

    Well, I for one am glad to have a local place to discuss TV and movies!

    I have NO issues with Piefed.social (and in fact I have an alt on a PF-based instance), but I’m on dbzer0 and I like the way db0 runs their instance. So I am very happy to see a community I like on the instance I’m on.

    I’ve just subscribed (pointless almost, since I browse /all) but I will try to contribute to the community. I’ve already commented on one of the posts. If I can find something of value to me, maybe I’ll submit a post and hopefully we can grow this community as an alternative to the comms on the bigger instances. Maybe contributors to those instances’ comms will contribute to ours as well.

    Regarding mod maturity, I’m an old guy and I got no interest in drama. Unfortunately I have no real interest in modding. I don’t wanna decide between the drama of two different users. I’d rather just tell them to settle it themselves unless it gets ugly (racist, sexist), then we’re dropping 72 hour cool-offs. But I don’t wanna be that guy. I’d rather just be the guy who shares his passion for whatever we’re talking about. If people throw smoke my way, I downvote them and keep it moving. They don’t get to determine my emotional state. And I think if more people could live like that, we wouldn’t have nearly so much drama between people. And that’s all I really got to say about that.
