Holy shit. I’ve listened to my fair share of Behind The Bastards, but I’ve never been as disturbed, upset, depressed, and angry, as I have ever been after hearing the horrific tale that is the life of Jimmy Saville.

I know some or many of you already know this grotesque tale, and I suppose there’s a part of me that is sorry for being late to the party, but I guess I just needed to share this with someone. Wtf…how could the human species have allowed such a person to not only to live, but thrive… just… fuck man… what the flying fuck.

On behalf of humanity to any God that might exist, I’m so very very sorry we ever let this absolute monster ever live past day fucking one. It is a shame on all of humanity that this sad excuse for a man never saw a shred of justice. Oh my fucking God.

I had only heard bits but looked up more after 28 Years Later and… yeah. I’ve avoided The Bone Temple because of it

Hmmm. I think this would be too tough a listen but I appreciate the post. As a kid I used to watch “Jim’ll fix it” and kept threatening to write in. I used to be so jealous of the kids that got picked and it added an extra layer of horror to learn that in reality they were so, so unlucky. :(

Edit: is it true that the BBC knew and actively covered for him? I’m sure the gang would have gone into it in the podcast if so.

Yes, though Robert makes it clear that the only reason he feels safe in saying so is because he’s not a UK citizen. I speculate the reason he didn’t have a UK guest on is partly because criticism of the BBC and/or the Royal Family (who also were heavily complicit and highly likely knew about Jimmy’s crimes) is still considered very risky even in this regard as both are highly litigious.

My mum always said he was a creep long before he was arrested, I learned to trust her opinion of people after that.

And so many people just knowingly let it happen. I wasn’t expecting these episodes to piss me off more than all the episodes on Hitler. This was a failure on so many levels of humanity. Justice is and always has been a farce.

I didnt watch the Podcast, but I did just now, finish watching the documentary on it.

This is (one reason) why I dont believe in a god. One persons story, occures in gods house, with his supposed people, and the man died never facing justice.

    All those terrified children.

These stories are worth telling and retelling. This kind of thing happens all over the world everyday, and so many children feel alone, like they wont be believed, and scared, too scared to speak. Fuck.

I hate I just saw this. How tf does one detox from this. absolutey horrifying. and their god seems to condone the behavoir

edit, and then the poor things blame themselves! it’s travesty. shits got me crying. I wish victims of abuses, all abuses, but highlighting those who were children, would not blame themselves :(
