    How can anyone look at a heat pump and “this thing both cools and heats reliably using the temperature differentials of the air” and not think that’s cool as fuck. Rad as fuck.

    It’s more efficient at heating than a fucking gas boiler! Imagine being better at heating that cheating by using planet boiling chemicals, and using no chemicals?

    Seriously it’s fucking witchcraft. If I were an investor and you told me you invented such a machine I’d tell you to fuck off. But no, investor me would have been dead wrong.

    Thank you for posting this, OP. I had been hearing about heat pumps and this is good to know. I need to look further into this.

      if you’re interested in heating only, then geo-solar hybrid might be better for you. the point is that excess heat from solar collector gets stored in soil near borehole, which can be used for heating in winter. solar heat also gets you hot water year round, and it can be made to work with heat pump or without

    Just to confirm, we are taking about the air conditioner which can function as heat pump when outside temperature drops right?
