So, I have Veteris, an app installer, on the iPad 1 that’s jailbroken. So far, I got Alien Blue to partially work and I can’t make comments but can read them and posts. I also got Tumblr to work. Is there anything else I can use on it that’ll work that you’ve tried? Maybe old social medias? Maybe I can get something from the Fediverse to work on there? I mean, it’s ~16 years old…
I have to assume the security patches on that are pretty outdated. So… nothing adjacent to something important.

You should install an eBook reader like MegaReader; if you run your own Calibre server, it does a good job of reading books.
Realistically, there’s not going to be much you can do with an iPad 1.
An iPad 2, on the other hand, is still a very functional jailbroken device. SNES and older emulators work great, it can play streaming videos, works with various ePub and PDF readers, and handle email and site-specific web browsing (including Lemmy).
I was gonna check my iPad 1 to see what’s still on it but it might finally have died for good. There were some fun time wasters like Ragdoll Blaster, Cube Runner and Robot Unicorn Attack, and if you create music there’s NanoStudio and BeBot. I think there was a solid video pinball game as well.
