I thought eunuchs were there to keep the concubines in line and to “take care” of any that broke the rules.

the idea of that being a eunuch’s duty was that they can’t be manipulated with any kind of sexual proposals if the women tried to use that to bargain their way out of trouble…or so I thought. I don’t know, I don’t care enough to look it up
