But also tons of smaller wars in Africa. All over the world really. Anytime two powers went to war, the USA and USSR would each pick a side and fund it. Some of these smaller wars outlasted the cold war. One of them went from like the 1970s until 2019. I forget which one, but just watch Oversimplified’s cold war videos.
