Hedge fund billionaire John Paulson plans to offshore the East Lake, Ohio, plant of Conn Selmer, the largest U.S. manufacturer of brass and orchestra instruments.

“We can’t have American producers closing American factories and offshoring. We need to protect American jobs and protect American manufacturing,” Paulson said just last year.

“Protect American Jobs” = “Give me outrageous tax breaks and regulatory cutouts that would make me more money than moving to China would save”

‘A’ was still more than ‘B’, so Joe MAGA’s job goes sailing.

"There are plenty of jobs! Just walk in, demand to see the Big Boss, give him a firm handshake.and “good morning Sir,’ and ask for a job.”

But I thought all the tariff money we’ve been rolling in would guarantee manufacturing jobs in the US?! /s

Eh, Conn has sucked ever since they moved from Elkhart, IN in 1970. You want a great trombone? Get an old Elkhart Conn 88-H. Same with any brass instrument.

Vintage Japanese acoustic guitars from the 70s, and Elkhart Conns are Legendary.

Don’t buy shiny new robot built instruments, they’re all crap. Find an old vintage one that was assembled by an expert. Cheaper, better, WAY COOLER.

… and to maximize profit even more, they will be cutting costs by dropping the extra and unnecessary “n” in their first name and it will now be “Con”.
