Well the DNC doesn’t do real, democratic primaries in general (In the rare event of a primary voter revolt they just run Lieberman/Cuomo/whoever against their own voters in the general) so Newsom is on lock, assuming they don’t proactively decide to lose by ordaining Kamala again. The GOP does have a democratic primary process, so I give decent odds MTG beats JD in the 2028 primary if she runs, so it could be Kamala v MTG…
