Jesus Christ, you’re not the first person to call this an “audience.” Reminds me of men who call their internet confrontations, “debates.”

The commenter who I made fun of here brought up – and incorrectly ignored the specificities of US imperialism – a topic that was not relevant to my comment on US imperialism in the past century when they wanted to talk about US imperialism “inherited” from the British Empire over two centuries ago; apparently without even knowing when the Rebellion was.

My snide comments came with the assumption that my “audience” could think for themselves and figure out why someone would respond that way to what they said. Of course, I do not write effectively for an “audience” who does not.

I won’t read your response, I write these when I’m bored or waiting in line.

Literally, this has been standard US imperialism for the better part of a century.

The US inherited it from the British, there were people already living here. They have been invading sovereign nations in the name of the US since independence.

a topic that was not relevant to my comment on US imperialism in the past century

It is relevant, they were agreeing with your sentiment and extending the timeline by correctly asserting that it goes further back than a century.

apparently without even knowing when the Rebellion was.

When exactly do you think the US colonial rebellion happened?

How is that apparent? And what point do you think you’re making exactly? Do you think because they rebelled and started their own empire that somehow negates that they inherited it from the empire they expanded from?

The commenter who I made fun of

My bad, I assumed you’re having a conversation in good faith.

I won’t read your response, I write these when I’m bored or waiting in line.

Same, and I’m bored of your childish, quick to anger, holier than thou attitude. Develop some humility.
