China surprisingly is letting the world know of its strong and effective interference in another country, something it routinely denounces.

China has openly stated that the ongoing junta-organized election—which critics dismiss as a sham designed to entrench military rule—is being held as the result of an agreement between Chinese President Xi Jinping and coup leader Min Aung Hlaing.

“The successful conduct of these elections reflects the agreements and cooperative efforts between Myanmar’s Acting President Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Chinese President Xi Jinping,” Deng was quoted as saying by junta mouthpiece the Global New Light of Myanmar.
