Hi, I’m looking for a country whose people or government mainly support my values. I’m looking for a country that:

  • supports wildlife protection

  • supports eco-friendly things and solar/wind energy

  • supports freedom of expression and does NOT criminalize queer people, be it trans, gay, bi, pan, intersex, asexual, etc.

  • peaceful, low crime

  • community-oriented

  • equal and just

  • very friendly towards animals, filled with animal sanctuaries and no-kill shelters

  • free education and/or healthcare (preferably education and healthcare are free/government-funded)

  • high taxes are therefore fine to me

  • compassion-oriented

  • affordable food with low unhoused rates and high employment rates

You’re getting a lot of “none” answers, but that’s overly pessimistic, given that you used relative terms for almost everything, and free healthcare and education are standard first-world features.

The usual statistics wondercountries would be my answer. Canada, the Nordics and select other places in Western Europe like the Netherlands and Switzerland. New Zealand is having problems these days, but maybe them too, I’m not sure. They all lean towards these stances relative to other countries.

Cheap food is probably hardest thing. It just comes with a certain cost to produce or ship in.

The nordics are all reliant on imperialism to fund their safety netd and are in decay, same with the European countries and NZ. A fundamental lack of caring for international impact is required to see them as “fair and just.”

Is it? I think internally is a reasonable way to read that requirement. Even failing that, somewhere else would have to be more equal and just, somehow.

Socialist countries aren’t built on imperialism. They have their own problems, but at the same time are directed by the working classes rather than capitalists.
