I agree with all of that in its entirety, the world was a much different and considerably smaller place.
To play devil’s advocate though, there is potential for the right person or persons to harness social media to draw historical attention to one. I don’t think this will happen, and it would turn into a giant mess of a media shitstorm, but it is an interesting idea to think about.
Better to live to fight another day IMO. I will strongly discourage anyone from going on hunger strike, it will more likely than not ruin your health for the rest of your life, and it will also shorten your life, if you don’t die outright while striking.
