      ?? From the northern most part of Washington, you have 1200 km north as the crow flies to get to Alaska and then virtually all of Alaska as the Pacific Ocean reaches to the north shore of Alaska. I would think Alaska or Yukon should be called the Northwest Pacific.

        its about the eco region. the pacific northwest has the boundaries of the pacific and the mountains.

        North of British Columbia and into alaska change somewhat from that region. Although some might include it.

        Also disagreements about if the rockys or the cascades define the eastern side.
