I’ve actually been doing a lot of thinking about this lately. Reading the gospels and trying to leave my preconcieved ideas out of it. The conclusions I’ve been coming to are: You can call yourself a Christian, but if you don’t live like it, you’re not. Acceptance of Christ’s teaching is intertwined with what you do. Acceptance of Christ’s teachings has to be an inner thing, not just doing the right thing and staying bitter and angry inside.

A Christian is a follower of Christ’s teachings. He taught humility, acceptance of others, non-violence, truth, helping others, non-hipocracy, love, and peace. Just because people in power call themselves Christians, doesn’t mean they are.

Nope. He said no one would know the hour or the day but he also said there would be signs and, if people watched for them, they wouldn’t be caught unaware.

They called it Santa Ana Laguna. Laguna has a number of definitions in Spanish, one of them is lake. This, to me, is too small to qualify as a lake. Perhaps pond would be more accurate.

Yeah, steam rising from it and rock vents. I didn’t take a dip.

There was a distinct sulfury smell in the air and the lady did warn us not to get close.

Man, sorry. Must be tough living under those conditions.

We didn’t wander off the trail too much. Some places, the ground was hot under our feet.

In El Salvador, they’re called ausoles.

Yeah, I don’t think anything will come betwee football fans and the world cup. They’re pretty fanatical.
It would be Spanish. Lavanderia, perhaps.
Yeah, I may have stretched the definition, but it was for comic effect. So it’s okay, right?

Not to mention ego collapse.
They’ve diverted some of the river water to run through a pipe along the top. It branches off with a small pipe to each section. It can be blocked off so you put the clothes in the slanted section, scrub and rinse. Each section has a drain also.
I did get a picture of each of them.
Yeah, they were in pretty rough shape. Shacks, basically.
I can’t answer that. I know some things about some denominations in my country, but I don’t have the knowledge to make that generalization worldwide.
