95 Democrats chose to celebrate a racist, misogynist, and very bad debater.
Conclusion: keep organizing to resist Trump and MAGA. Don’t rely on the Democracts for anything, they’re too much a part of the existing rotten system.
I don’t understand why they didn’t all just abstain.
I get that it was a gotcha, like they were asked the classic “Have you stopped beating your wife?” But they not only failed to deny the form of the question, but also gave the worse of the two bad answers.
Because they don’t actually think it’s worth standing up for principals when it could make them look bad to those who would never vote for them
I just called my Democratic Congresspeople. I told them that if they’re not willing to stand up against performative fascism, then they’re obviously not willing to stand up to any aspect of fascism. I told them that if the people representing me were going to help enact these policies that they might as well not simultaneously erode the vision of my party. I informed them that I would not be voting for them in the future unless I saw an immediate and significant change. I don’t need a fascist with a D next to their name. I need a democratic representative and if that’s not what they are they do not have my vote. I’ve called previously, but I’ve never felt as though I understood enough of the larger implications and politicking to say “you’ve lost my vote”, just express my disappointment, but this is so performative that I know it didn’t matter. It’s just propaganda and they helped pass it.

Yeah that’s bullshit, she should have fought for rights of all trans. Why we donated money and those in her state voted for her. They wanted someone who was going fight for their rights. She such a disappointment. Fucking sick of giving little money I got and they screw us over every time. Now on you run as a Democrat but say your progressive I will not believe you and hold my support. I am going give it only one more try with Kat Abughazaleh and Zohran Mamdani. But if they win then give lip service to progressive and pivot moderate then I an done.
She worked so hard to preserve the rights of others. 😭😭😭
